POSTPARTUM DOULA CERTIFICATION

Led by a Registered Nurse with 20+ years experience, Doulas of Austin offers aspiring postpartum doulas a unique, comprehensive virtual postpartum doula certification program with the highest of professional standards.

Based off of her knowledge and experience working with families, owner of Doulas of Austin, Chiminh Ashton, personally crafted this extensive curriculum that not only equips students with the knowledge and hands-on experience to support new parents as they navigate postpartum recovery and the adjustment to parenthood, but also how to initiate the business side of becoming a professional doula.

Unlike other programs, our postpartum doula certification includes hands-on guidance and mentorship. We believe true learning and success comes from more than just curriculum modules - you deserve accountability and a seasoned professional you can look to for guidance every step of the way.

  • Physical & emotional recovery from childbirth (vaginal and cesarean)

  • Newborn care including safe sleep/SIDS reduction

  • Postpartum doula overview/scope of practice

  • Doula business 101

Upon certification, doulas will feel confident and fully prepare to start their business and begin supporting new parents as a professional postpartum doula.
